I truly hope you’ve enjoyed these stories from the first 24 years of my 47-year driving career. For most of my life, I believed the only thing that would end my trucking days was being called home by my Lord and Savior. Sadly, that wasn’t how it happened.
Ten years ago, I was diagnosed with narrowing of the spine, acute osteoarthritis, and compressed discs. I kept working and refused pain medication so I could stay behind the wheel.
Then, on May 19, 2025, I fell from the fuel tanks of my semi after a post-trip inspection. The pain snowballed over the next weeks, and on June 19, 2025, I had to climb out of the truck for the last time.
If these memoirs entertained you, helped you, or gave you something to carry with you — and you’d like to support my ongoing writing projects — I would be deeply grateful.
